Step into Lubuk Semilang’s 100-million-year-old prehistoric rainforest at the base of Gunung Raya. A 1.2km illuminated night walk where Southeast Asia’s oldest geology meets Langkawi’s legendary folklore through living projection mapping, responsive light, and orchestral soundscapes.
Malaysia's tropical rainforests are over 100 million years oldβpredating both the Amazon and the Congo basins. At Lubuk Semilang, ancient prehistoric trees, giant buttress roots, and rare nocturnal flora have flourished continuously since the age of dinosaurs.
Dream Forest is cradled directly at the base of Langkawi's tallest peak, Gunung Raya. Part of the UNESCO Global Geopark (the first in Southeast Asia), this immense granite dome was formed 230 million years ago, creating the mystic sanctuary where local giant legends were born.
Conceived by cultural visionary Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina, Dream Forest was built with strict conservation protocols: not a single tree was cut down. Elevated boardwalks and unobtrusive low-impact lighting protect delicate prehistoric roots while letting folklore merge seamlessly with nature.
